This project demonstrates what happens when English words are translated into Korean.

Hye Eun Park has visualized each word and animated the transformation from the English meaning to the Korean one. The project illustrates how the meaning of a word can grow or shift in translation.

It asks a simple question: if a word feels different in another language, is it still the same word? “My words, Your words” will invite everyone to think about how language affects the way we understand the world—especially in a diverse city like Toronto.
